Once upon a time, there was a beautiful Countess who lived on the side of the hill overlooking town. She had immaculate estate with beautiful gardens and a tastefully elegant Victorian home. Throughout the years, she employed several local people to help her care for her estate. The Countess was a difficult task master and she believed and insisted that the people who worked for her were experts in their fields. This often meant studying late nights after work and formal education. The Countess was fair and encour- aging, and she even helped her employees pay their tuition costs, but her expectations were high. As a result of this, two things usually happened.

Some people found the Countess’ expectations to be more than they could commit to. They would eventually ask to speak to her in her study, and with hung heads apologize that they couldn’t live up to her expectations.

The employees who did take her up on her challenge became terribly successful. With help from the Countess, they embraced their educations and sought out professions in their areas of expertise. These employees went on to become architects, engineers, interior designers, commercial general contractors, landscape architects, and commercial landscapers. Eventually, these employees would ask to speak to her in the study and explain with hung heads that they would forever be in debt to her for forging their careers, but that to pursue their dreams they had to leave her employ.

After many years, the Countess became old. Her beautiful estate began to whither. The house repairs piled up and the gardens began to wane. One day there was a knock on her door. She wandered to the front parlor hoping to make the knocking stop and to send the unwanted interruption away. She peaked through the window and saw two somewhat familiar faces.

“Countess, I’m not sure if you remember me, but I’m Jeebs and I used to work for you. You encouraged me to go to school, so I studied architecture and then got a job in the city and then I got registered as an architect and I formed my own firm, and I really owe you a huge debt of gratitude! I see that things aren’t running as smooth as they once were and I'd like to help. I've got a whole fleet of people gathered up who used to work for you too and they want to help as well!”

The other face was jumping up and down in excitement. “And Countess, I’m not sure if you remember me either, but I’m Zuzu. I used to love work- ing here with you! You told me I had to go back to school and I studied construction management, and I have a construction company, and we work with all kinds of subs, and I make them work as hard as you did me... and my daughter studied interior design, and she’s really good! We want to come help out with everything that you need

The two companies had begun working on the Countess’ Estate. Evaluations were completed, plans drawn up, permits assembled, materials purchased, and trades people methodically began to work through every corner of the estate. The Countess was happy, and this is how Jeebs and Zuzu was created.
